The Strategy Board

The Strategy Board provides a kanban-style interface for managing your SEO recommendations throughout their lifecycle. All recommendations appear as draggable cards organized by workflow status, allowing you to track progress from initial discovery to completion.

Board Columns

The board contains five columns representing different stages of your SEO workflow:

ColumnPurpose
BacklogNew recommendations awaiting action, automatically ranked by priority score
In ProgressRecommendations currently being implemented by your team
DeployedLive changes awaiting performance measurement and validation
CompletedSuccessfully implemented recommendations with confirmed positive outcomes
DismissedRecommendations you've decided not to pursue

Managing Recommendations

Moving Cards Between Columns

Simply drag and drop cards between columns to update their status. The platform automatically triggers specific actions based on where you move each card:

  • Moving to In Progress: Captures baseline performance metrics for later comparison
  • Moving to Deployed: Records the deployment timestamp to track implementation timing
  • Moving to Completed: Unlocks any dependent recommendations that were waiting for this change
  • Moving to Dismissed: Also unlocks dependent recommendations, allowing alternative approaches

Swimlane Organization

Use the view toggle to switch between flat and swimlane layouts:

  • Flat view: Shows all cards in a single row per column
  • Swimlane view: Groups cards by SEO initiative type (Content, Technical SEO, Keywords, Links, Performance) for better category-level visibility

Swimlanes help you maintain balanced progress across different areas of your SEO strategy.

Card Information

Click any recommendation card to view detailed information including:

  • Priority score breakdown: See how impact, confidence, urgency, strategic alignment, and risk contribute to the overall ranking
  • Step-by-step implementation guide: Detailed instructions for executing the recommendation
  • CMS integration status: Real-time updates if the recommendation connects to your content management system
  • Dependencies and blockers: Related recommendations that must be completed first or may be affected by this change

This detailed view ensures your team has all the context needed to implement recommendations effectively.
