How Auto-Execution Works

The CMS auto-execution pipeline streamlines SEO implementation by automatically deploying approved changes to your website. When you move a CMS-compatible recommendation to In Progress, the following automated workflow begins:

The 4-Step Pipeline Process

  1. Task Creation — The system generates a specific CMS task with implementation details (e.g., "Update meta title to include primary keyword 'enterprise SEO tools'")

  2. Review Queue — The pending change appears in your CMS Review Panel where you can preview the exact modification before deployment

  3. Automatic Deployment — Upon your approval, the system immediately pushes the change to your connected WordPress or Shopify site

  4. Status Promotion — After successful deployment, the recommendation automatically advances from In Progress to Deployed status

Supported Auto-Execution Types

The following SEO changes can be automatically deployed through the CMS pipeline:

Change TypeWordPressShopifyNotes
Meta titlesPage and post titles
Meta descriptionsSearch result snippets
H1 headingsPrimary page headings
Image alt textAccessibility and SEO
Content blocksText additions/modifications
Schema markupStructured data implementation

Handling Execution Failures

When a CMS deployment fails, the system maintains data integrity by:

  • Keeping the recommendation in In Progress status
  • Marking the associated CMS task as Failed with error details
  • Preserving your original content unchanged

Recovery Options:

  • Retry deployment from the CMS Review Panel after resolving connection issues
  • Manual implementation using the provided change details
  • Cancel the task if the recommendation is no longer needed

Rolling Back Changes

If a deployed change negatively impacts your site, you can instantly revert it:

  1. Navigate to the CMS Review Panel
  2. Locate the deployed change in your history
  3. Click Roll Back to restore the previous version
  4. The recommendation returns to Open status for re-evaluation

Note: Rollbacks restore your original content exactly as it was before the automated change was applied.
