What This Page Does

The Technical Audit page runs automated checks on your site's technical SEO health. It detects regressions (things that used to be correct but broke), pagination issues, redirect chains, and JavaScript rendering problems. Unlike one-time audits, this runs daily to catch issues before they impact rankings.

Getting Started

  1. View the issue list — sorted by severity (critical, high, medium, low)
  2. Each issue shows affected URLs, when it was first detected, and a fix recommendation
  3. Click any issue to see the full technical details and affected pages
  4. Mark issues as resolved or ignored with notes

Key Features

  • Regression detection — alerts when previously correct elements break
  • Meta tag audit — duplicate titles, missing descriptions, length violations
  • Canonical audit — self-referencing, cross-domain, and conflicting canonicals
  • Redirect analysis — chains, loops, and unnecessary redirects
  • JS rendering — pages that render differently with/without JavaScript

Tips & Best Practices

  • Address critical issues within 24 hours — they directly impact indexing
  • Redirect chains should be collapsed to single hops
  • Check for regression patterns — recurring issues may indicate a deployment pipeline problem
  • Ignore utility pages (login, admin) that don't need SEO optimisation
